Newport News Public Schools Virtual Job Fair Week
During the week of November 9-13, teacher candidates will have the opportunity to chat with live recruiters by text. While chatting, eligible candidates will be scheduled for virtual interviews held the following week. Job offers will be given to some candidates to fill current openings in the 2020-2021 school year and for future openings in the 2021-2022 school year.
- Monday, November 9th: Elementary
- Tuesday, November 10th: Special Education, School Librarians, ESL
- Wednesday, November 11th: Secondary (6-12): English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies
- Thursday, November 12th: Art, Music, PE
- Friday, November 13th: CTE, Foreign Language

VASPA 2020 Virtual Fall Educator Career Fair
The VASPA Educator Career Fair creates a vibrant professional environment where candidates and recruiters can meet, interview and hire – in person and in one location. This fall, the fair will be held virtually to ensure the safety of recruiters and candidates. The fair is offered on multiple days to provide opportunities for candidates to interview with a wide variety of school divisions across the Commonwealth.
- November 17th: Region 1 (Central Virginia) & Region 6 (Western Virginia)
- November 18th: Region 4 (Northern Virginia)
- November 19th: Region 2 (Tidewater) & Region 5 (Valley)
- November 20th: Regions 3 (Northern Neck), 7 (Southwest), & 8 (Southside)

Please find the region(s) you are interested in working in for the 2021-2022 academic year, visit their websites and check EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. Make sure the division has openings in your endorsement area. You will be able to access each school division by clicking on the region links below. Once you have completed your research, click on the REGISTER HERE link below!

You will be sent an email the week of November 9th with links, dates, and times for your interviews. We will do our best to accommodate as many of your requests as possible, based on school division availability.
