Culturally Responsive Teaching

Culturally responsive teaching uses the cultural knowledge, prior experiences, and performance styles of diverse students to make learning more appropriate and effective for them. This method of instruction focuses on the the strengths of each student and introduces a pedagogy that acknowledges, responds to, and enhances fundamental cultures. This is not an add-on to instruction, but an enhancement.
