COE Special Education Program Secures Grant

The Special Education Program in the University of Mary Washington’s College of Education has secured a grant from the Virginia Department of Education.  The Special Education Teacher Support Grant supports provisionally licensed special educators (general curriculum) who are currently working in Superintendent regions 3 or 4 (Prince William, Fauquier, Culpeper, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Fredericksburg, Caroline, King George, and Westmoreland – for additional locations, please refer to this link http://www.doe.virginia.gov/directories/va_region_map.pdf).  Additionally, you must also be enrolled in a UMW licensure or degree program in Special Education – General Curriculum.  For further information, please contact Dr. Roberta Gentry at rgentry@umw.edu.
